I decided to create this project because, I was curious of if I was to make my 'dream' plushie what would it look like, and what features would it have. I got the inspiration of this project, when I was scrolling through Esty and looking at plushies. Then weighted beads popped up, and I got curious, from that alone.
This is what the plushie looks like without annotation. As its a plushie based on my likes, I decided to incorporate my pride flags within its design, but in a subtle way. The left ear has the pansexual pride flag, while the right ear has the non-binary pride flag. As well as this, the tip of the left ear is a dark shade of purple to represent the demi-sexual pride flag, and the right ear is a dark shade of green to represent the demi-romantic pride flag. I decided to use blue and green a lot as those colours can make people feel calm. I decided to use lighter shades of colours, as I feel it also gives off a calming grounding feeling to the general plushie. I decided to give it two sets of wings, as when your cuddling it, you could rap the wings around you, to make you feel like your getting a big fluffy hug. I added 3 tails for the same reason, I want the user to feel like they are cuddling a cool, mythical friendly fluffy creature.
I decided to make the paw pads squishy because, it could be used as a stress toy, like if someone was to carry around a squish mellow, because they are also extremely squishy, but nice to cuddle. I decided to make the tail crinkly because, fidgeting with it would make a stimulating noise, however the crinkly noise would be a light crinkle noise, so it wouldn't be too loud. I decided to put magnets all over the plushie so if the tails or wings were in the way they could put them back, or if they wanted to move them to the front, they can. The plushie is very weighted as it can help to ground and calm people with anxiety, but it is also good for period cramps. The beads are so you can fidget with them, and spin them, and it would be one of the only parts of the plush that can get cold, which can also help to ground others. I made the fluffy pride balls embroidered so they'll last longer, as it likely wouldn't be able to last long and could get ruined faster. The horns are slightly pointy, as it can help to stimulate and ground people, sometimes a bit of pain is all you need to be put back into the current moment. The mouth can move just to fidget with it, and the general mouth.
